HISTORY OF TETRA JUNGLE LODGE
The Vision
The vision of Tetra Jungle Lodge (TJL) is to offer nature-induced serene accommodation combined with personalized culinary service to soothe the body and soul right in the heart of the forest with comfort being our hallmark.
The Motivation
A stay away from home where the absolute quietness of the night is regularly pierced by the shrill sounds of wild birds and mammals in the nearby forest especially the famous African Tree Hyrax. Enthralled by the sheer serenity of the Akrobeto forest located close to Domease in the Akwapim District of the Eastern Region of Ghana, the Founders of Tetra Jungle Lodge set out on a journey to provide serene comfort in the heart of the jungle. Conscious of the need to preserve the natural green environment, the design and set-up of the Lodge were deliberate and purposeful in maintaining the nearby prime trees and shrubs as a reminder to our guests that peace and comfort can best be obtained far and deep.

A land of Peace and Blessings
The African land is blessed with unique plants and trees. One such unique tree with enormous spiritual significance is the Prekese tree (scientifically called Tetrapleura Tetraptera). This special specie is mostly found in parts of West Africa. Apart from its spiritual benefits, Prekese also provides very rich health benefits. The presence of this important and unique tree is the motivation behind the Lodge’s name.
Recreational Activities
A very short drive (two minutes) from Tetra Jungle lodge is the famous eco-friendly resort – Safari Valley Resort. Our guest have the option of enjoying the daytime tour facilities of the Safari Valley (at a moderate fee) while retiring to their serene and quite rooms in the evening.
The Asenema Waterfalls is also twenty (20) minutes drive away. The Lodge is able to organize a tour to the falls for our guests. For Tour groups, Tetra Jungle Lodge will also be able to partner with certified tour companies in Ghana to organize site visits and views to notable places in Ghana.
